GOAL 1: End poverty in all its forms everywhere
Eradicate extreme poverty (living on less than 1.25 USD a day) for all people everywhere by 2030. Ensure implementation of social protection systems and measures for all, and that all men and women have equal rights to economic resources, access to basic services, ownership, and control over land.
GOAL 2: End hunger, achieve food security and improved nutrition, and promote sustainable agriculture
End hunger and ensure access to sufficient food and nutrition by all, in particular the poor and people in vulnerable situations. End all forms of malnutrition, increase agricultural productivity, and ensure sustainable food production systems. Maintain genetic diversity of seeds, cultivated plants and livestock and their related wild species. Promote sharing of knowledge and utilization of genetic resources.
GOAL 3: Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages
Reduce maternal, premature and neonatal mortality. End preventable deaths of newborns and children, epidemics of AIDS, tuberculosis, malaria. Ensure universal access to sexual and reproductive healthcare services. Reduce the number of road accidents and illnesses from hazardous chemicals in air and water.
GOAL 4: Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all
Ensure that all girls and boys complete free, equitable and quality education, have access to early childhood development and care. Improve technical and vocational education and increase the number of youth and adults with relevant skills for employment. Incorporate the knowledge and skills for sustainable development into education.
GOAL 5: Achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls
End all forms of discrimination against women and girls everywhere, end violence against women, and end eliminate forced marriages and female genital mutilation. Ensure women's participation in the workforce and education, and provide equal opportunity for leadership. Ensure universal access to sexual and reproductive healthcare.
GOAL 6: Ensure availability and sustainable management of water and sanitation for all
Achieve universal access to safe and affordable drinking water and adequate sanitation and hygiene. Improve water quality, increase water-use efficiency, and implement water resources management. Protect water-related ecosystems.
GOAL 7: Ensure access to affordable, reliable, sustainable, and modern energy for all
Ensure universal access to affordable, reliable, and modern energy sources. Increase the share of renewable energy in the energy mix and improve energy efficiency.
GOAL 8: Promote sustained, inclusive, and sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment, and decent work for all
Sustain and spur economic growth through sustainable means. Achieve higher levels of economic productivity and promote development-oriented policies for increasing employment levels and reducing youth unemployment. Protect labor rights and promote safe and secure working environments.
GOAL 9: Build resilient infrastructure, promote inclusive industrialization, and foster innovation
Develop quality, reliable, sustainable, and resilient infrastructure and upgrade industries for sustainable development. Promote inclusive and sustainable industrialization and increase access of small-scale enterprises.
GOAL 10: Reduce inequality within and among countries
Increase the income growth of the bottom 40 percent of the population. Empower and promote social, economic, and political inclusion of all regardless of age, sex, race, and ethnicity. Adopt fiscal and social protection policies for equality. Enhance representation of developing countries in international organizations. Facilitate safe and responsible migration.
GOAL 11: Make cities inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable
Ensure access to adequate, safe, and affordable housing and basic services for all. Improve transportation systems and sustainable urbanization. Strengthen efforts to protect world's cultural and natural heritage. Reduce the environmental impacts of cities and increase green and public places in urban areas.
GOAL 12: Ensure sustainable consumption and production patterns
Implement programs on sustainable consumption and production. Achieve sustainable management of resources and reduce global waste generation at all levels. Manage chemicals and other wastes in accordance with international frameworks. Ensure that people everywhere have information and awareness for sustainable development.
GOAL 13: Take urgent action to combat climate change and its impacts
Strenghten resilience and capacity to climate-related hazard and natural disasters. Integrate climate change measures into national policies and planning, and educate the public about these measures.
GOAL 14: Conserve and sustainably use the oceans, seas and marine resources for sustainable development
Prevent and reduce marine pollution of all kinds. Sustainably magage marine and coastal ecosystems through regulation of fishing activities, prohibition of overfishing and reduction of fisheries subsidies, and conservation of marine areas.
GOAL 15: Protect, restore, and promote sustainable use of terrestrial ecosystems, sustainably manage forests, combat desertification, and halt and reverse land degradation and halt biodiversity loss
Ensure the conservation, restoration, and sustainable use of terrestrial and inland freshwater ecosystems. Promote the implementation of sustainable management of forests and mountain ecosystems, combat desertification and reduce degradation of natural habitats. Integrate ecosystem and biodiversity values into national and local planning. End poaching of protected wildlife and introduction of alien species into ecosystems.
GOAL 16: Promote peaceful and inclusive societies for sustainable development, provide access to justice for all and build effective, accountable, and inclusive institutions at all levels
Significantly reduce all forms of violence everywhere and end abuse, exploitation, and trafficking of children. Promote the rule of law at the national and international levels. Reduce corruption, bribery, and illicit financial and arms flows. Develop strong and effective institutions and ensure responsive and representative decision-making at all levels to broaden and strengthen the participation in the institutions of global governance. Ensure public access to information and protect fundamental freedoms.
GOAL 17: Strengthen the means of implementation and revitalize the global partnership for sustainable development
Finance: Strengthen domestic resource mobilization. Implement fully official development assistance (ODA) commitments of developed countries and mobilize additional financial resources for developing countries. Assist developing countries to attain long-term debt sustainability. Technology: Enhance regional and international cooperation on and access to science, technology, and innovation. Promote the development of environmentally sound technologies to developing countries. Capacity-building: Operationalize science, technology, and innovation capacity-building mechanisms for least developed countries. Enhance international support to implement all the SDGs in developing countries. Trade: Promote a universal open and equitable multilateral trading system under WTO. Increase exports of developing countries and implement duty-free and quota-free market access to least developed countries. Systemic Issues: Enhance global macroeconomic stability and policy coherence for sustainable development, and enable knowledge sharing in multilateral partnerships to support sustainable development. Increase the availability of high-quality reliable data and develop measurements of progress on SGDs.
